Social Services Resources

211 is an excellent service sponsored by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.  It answers many questions about accessing certain social resources, such as Medicaid, rental assistance, utility assistance, and child-care subsidies.

Travis County Counseling and Education Services (TCCES)

TCCES has programs that meet the requirements of most court-ordered counseling.  Their 15-hour drug education class is usually required in any misdemeanor drug possession case, and they provide educational programs for clients accused of DWI in Austin.
